A clear blue sky, without a rain cloud in sight, greeted the 202 runners who kicked off their 2013 in style by taking part in the annual 5k Bra Run on Deal seafront on New Year's Day.
The event organised by Deal Tri was in aid of Breast Cancer Care and people of all ages and running abilities graced the promenade in decorated bras to raise awareness and funds for the charity.
Race organiser and Deal Tri member Sally Scoggins said: "Every year we see so many people make the effort after their New Year's Eve celebrations to support such a fantastic cause.
"This year was no different and with such glorious weather the numerous spectators lining the promenade on the day definitely helped spur the runners on.
"The event is in its ninth year and has so far donated more than £24,000 to the charity. This year's race has so far raised over £2,000."
Donations can still be sent to 105 Canada Rd, Deal, Kent, CT14 7EJ.
