Royal Cinque Ports and Prince’s golf clubs have been chosen to stage the 118th Amateur Championship in 2013.

The links courses will share the initial strokeplay qualifying stage before Royal Cinque Ports hosts the match-play rounds. The event will take place between June 17-22.

Royal Cinque Ports has hosted the Amateur Championships twice previously, in 1923 and 1982.

Prince’s hosted the championship with Royal St George’s in 2006.

Both clubs will be used as Local Final Qualifying venues ahead of the 2011 Open Championship at Royal St George’s.
