Karen Stupples made a solid defence of her S4C Wales Ladies’ Championship of Europe title at Conwy GC.

The Deal professional finished fifth on one-under-par 287, five shots behind the winner, Lee-Ann Pace of South Africa.

Stupples (pictured) recovered from a poor first round 76 to make the cut and eventually earn a cheque for 15,543 Euros after finishing with a final-round 69 on the tough north Wales course.
