Deal's Karen Stupples had an unhappy time at last week's Ricoh Women's British Open at Royal Birkdale Golf Club.

Stupples (pictured), the champion in 2004, missed the halfway cut by three shots after opening rounds of 77 and 75 for an eight over par total of 152.

The tournament was won by Taiwan's Yani Tseng, her third major title success.

Stupples will now try to rediscover some form on the practice range before defending her S4C Wales Ladies Championship of Europe title at Conwy GC, starting on August 12.
