Deal 1sts, yellow, do battle with Folkestone 3rds

Deal men’s 1sts went third in Kent Premier A after a 3-0 win at Folkestone 3rds.

Playing a 3-4-3 formation, Deal started the game in positive fashion, using their extra midfield player to great effect.

It was only some stubborn defensive work that kept the visitors at bay but their persistence paid off when Churchill’s shot broke the deadlock.

Deal proved just as impressive at the back when Folkestone did venture from their own half but a second Deal strike from Phillips restored the visitors’ authority and a third from Dyer guaranteed the points.
