Deal Town have received a welcome boost by agreeing deals with new shirt sponsors.
Adamsons will have their name emblazoned on the home kit, as it was during the Wembley triumph in 2000, while Bayliss Executive Travel have secured a deal for away sponsorship. TKM Plumbers, meanwhile, are reserve strip sponsors.
Club chairman David Reid (pictured) is still fighting hard to win grant aid for the club so they can complete work on the new clubhouse at the Charles Ground and he is glad to see things going in the right direction. He said: "In the current climate, it’s brilliant that we’ve been able to get so many local firms to sponsor us.
"It’s onwards and upwards for us. Twelve months ago the team were heading down fast and the first team were about to walk away because of what was going on off the pitch.
"We’ve pulled it together, with new management in place. We’ve paid off all of our outstanding debts and now we’ve just got legal fees to pay. It’s our only outstanding debt.
"We’re getting away from the bad feelings of the past and want to have a clubhouse here so that anybody can use it."
Mr Reid was involved in meetings this week about trying to get a grant to finish the work at the club, which has so far cost close to £100,000.
