Midfielder Dean Rance says he has a point to prove after signing a year’s deal with Dover following his release by Gillingham.
The 20-year-old – who enjoyed a short loan spell at Crabble last season – was let go by the Gills earlier this month after joining the club at the age of eight and progressing through the youth ranks.
He spent the past two seasons as a pro but was hampered by injuries and he made his only first team appearance for the club in an FA Cup first round replay, coming on for Curtis Weston in a 3-2 win against Bournemouth at Priestfield on November 22.
He made an impression on Whites boss Nicky Forster, despite seeing his spell on loan at Crabble last season cut short by injury after just two appearances.
Rance (pictured) said: "I’m excited about the fresh challenge and look forward to an injury-free, successful season with Dover. It’s time to prove a few people wrong."
