People expecting to cross the Channel today will be subject to delays due to adverse weather conditions.

All ferry operators have however asked that passengers check-in as normal.

P&O Ferry update services tweeted: "Due to adverse weather in the channel overnight our services are running with delays of approx 30 minutes. Please check in as normal."

However, those travelling with MyFerryLink haven't yet experienced any problems.

The 8.45am sailing from Dover to Berlioz left on time.

DFDS Seaways is also experiencing delays of up to 40 minutes.
