A Dover man who attacked a teenager with a bread knife has been added to the police “most wanted” list for recall to prison.
Luke Cassidy, who is 28, was jailed for four years in 2009, with an additional two years on licence, for wounding with intent.
The attack happened in the town centre and the victim, a 19-year-old Dover man who was slashed across the face, needed 22 stitches.
At the time of the offence he had only been out of prison for three weeks having been released from a two-year sentence for assaults and suffering mental problems brought on by using illicit drugs.
The court was told that he looked back on the events with remorse and appreciated what he did was wholly wrong. He had started attending bible classes while in prison.
Now police say Cassidy is wanted for recall to prison and they are asking anyone who has seen him, or knows where he is, to call 101, quoting Most Wanted and reference YY/015477/13, or contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
