Dover slipped five points behind Blue Square South leaders Newport County after losing the top-of-the table clash between the two sides at Crabble on Saturday.
The visitors went in front after 33 minutes when Craig Reed turned Jake Leberl and chipped the ball over Whites keeper David Wilkinson from an angle.
Shaun Welford (pictured) brought Dover level just before the hour mark when he applied the finishing touch to a move involving Frannie Collin and Matt Fish.
But Reed’s second of the afternoon after 72 minutes condemned the home side to defeat. Whites were slow to clear the danger and Reed drove the ball into the net following a goalmouth scramble.
