Dover boss Martin Hayes admits he is lost for new ways to describe their lack of goals after a third successive home goalless draw when they faced Farnborough at Crabble on Tuesday night.
It was also their fourth blank in their last six games, and the Whites fans took their frustration out on Hayes by calling for his head in the second half.
The result sees Dover drop into the bottom half for the first time this season and Hayes (pictured) said: “I am finding it hard to keep explaining it, I have never been involved in so many draws as a manager.
"It’s not that we are playing defensively. We are creating plenty of chances, but not putting the ball in the back of the net.
“We had two or three very good chances. Harry Baker missed a one-on-one and George Purcell had another. We are getting into good areas, but the final ball is just not as good as it should be. We need to keep a calm head in front of goal at the moment.
“We scored eight goals in our first two games, but could have conceded as many as well. We have tightened up defensively and six clean sheets in 10 games is pretty impressive.”
