Home form is becoming a problem for Dover after a solitary Tobi Joseph strike handed Hayes & Yeading all three points on Saturday.
The result followed Tuesday’s 1-0 home defeat to Chelmsford and it leaves the Whites still searching for their first win at Crabble this season.
While Dover’s away record is good, they now have gone more than five hours without scoring in front of their home crowd.
Ben May almost ended the drought in the first half against Hayes, hitting the post after Ian Simpemba had headed a free-kick into his path.
Dover keeper Mitch Walker made a fine double-save to keep the scoresheet blank before his opposite number, James Beasant, denied Chris Sessegnon.
Beasant continued to frustrate the hosts after the interval. Barry Cogan led a rapid Dover break and crossed for Dean Rance, but Beasant saved with his foot.
The winning goal arrived 20 minutes from time when Joseph latched onto a long ball out of defence and slipped his shot past Walker.
Steven Thomson and substitute, player-boss Nicky Forster (pictured) both went close to an equaliser, but the visitors held on.
