Dover's Moses Ademola stretches the Staines defence Picture:Tony Flashman
Dover suffered a second straight 1-0 home defeat as struggling Staines snatched the points at Crabble in Blue Square Bet South on Saturday.
Having seen his side lose in injury-time against Tonbridge four days earlier, boss Nicky Forster brought in Lloyd Harrington, Calum Willock and Ricky Modeste for the unavailable Danny Webb, Daryl McMahon and Billy Bricknell.
As they did against Angels, Whites created plenty of chances but were made to pay for not taking them.
Modeste failed to turn in an early Barry Cogan free-kick, while Moses Ademola was denied by Staines keeper Jack Turner.
Willock headed a Tom Wynter cross wide before Ademola fluffed his final ball after a fine run but it was the visitors who broke the deadlock on 36 minutes when David Wheeler volleyed home.
After the break, Dover keeper Mitch Walker kept the deficit to one with a couple of good saves while another Town chance was fired over.
Modeste and Ian Simpemba saw penalty shouts waved away before Dean Rance had a shot deflected wide and Harrington’s header from a Cogan cross was held by Turner as Dover suffered a third straight league defeat.
