Dover Athletic suffered a disappointing defeat at home to Blue Square Bet South title-chasers Woking on Saturday.
Whites began brightly but the visitors were ahead within 12 minutes. Their pace on the attack caused the Dover defence all kinds of problems and, with Phil Starkey beaten, Dale Binns was able to fire past keeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz.
Nicky Forster's (pictured) side continued to press, with Harry Baker looking lively and firing a chance over, but Moses Ademola should have doubled the lead at the other end only to find the side-netting in an end-to-end encounter.
Jaimez-Ruiz denied Binns, but a minute before the break Olly Schulz brought Paris Cowan-Hall down in the area and Jack King stepped up to send the keeper the wrong way from the spot.
The second half was a cruise for the Cards and they piled pressure on Ed Harris and Schulz at the back while, at the other end, James Walker was denied a penalty when the referee played an advantage in the box as he was tripped, only for the Whites striker to stumble and fire wide.
Barry Cogan saw a shot saved and Agustin Battipiedi fired a free-kick over as Dover battled on before a Harris flick rolled along the Woking line.
The third goal arrived in the dying moments when keeper Jaimez-Ruiz was dispossessed and the ball was stroked home by substitute Elvis Hammond.
The defeat left the Whites seventh, three points off the play-offs having played a game more than fifth-placed Chelmsford.
