Dover Athletic’s title aspirations were all-but ended after conceding an injury-time goal against 10-man Sutton United.

Catching Welling at the top of Blue Square Bet South was a long shot but in-form Dover went into Saturday’s game unbeaten in 10 games.

They stretched that to 11 with a draw against Sutton but will be kicking themselves after seeing all three points disappear.

Whites - unbeaten under Chris Kinnear - took the lead in the second half shortly after a two footed challenge from Dean Sinclair on Moses Ademola saw the Sutton man heading for an early shower.

Ben May (pictured) scored for Dover with 68 minutes played and Harry Ottaway had a great chance to double the lead moments later, only to squander a one-on-one opportunity.

Sutton made Dover pay with an equalising goal after 90 minutes through Chris Benjamin, who scored from 25 yards.
