George Purcell netted twice - the first inside the opening minute - as Dover Athletic produced one of their best home performances of the season to beat Eastleigh 2-0 in Blue Square Bet South.
Whites had only won three of their previous league games at Crabble this season, but could not have made a better start as Purcell put them ahead after just 56 seconds.
James Walker's pass picked out Barry Cogan on the right, and he broke into the area before setting up Purcell (pictured) to slot home from close range.
Whites looked the better side early on but play became more even as the first half wore on, with chances fairly few and far between.
Walker fired straight at the visiting keeper with team-mate Cogan well placed in support, while there was a scare for Whites on 34 minutes when Jamie Slabber netted for Eastleigh only to be flagged offside.
Dover's Terry Dixon missed a great chance early in the second half when he fired wide after the visiting keeper had dropped the ball but soon after Dover doubled their lead.
Dixon was the provider with a terrific first-time pass which sent man-of-the-match Purcell through and he made it 2-0 despite the keeper getting a hand to the shot.
From that point Dover seized control and had several chances to increase their lead, with Glen Southam being denied by the keeper while Billy Bricknell headed over and then fired wide.
Although the sides around them all won, the result kept Whites sixth and firmly in the hunt for play-off places.
