Dover threw away a two-goal lead as they were forced to settle for a point against Maidenhead in Blue Square South at Crabble on Saturday.
Whites paraded new signing Donovan Simmonds (pictured) in attack alongside Adam Birchall, while Ross Flitney was back from hospital to start in goal.
Both teams had a couple of half chances during an uneventful opening half in which the visitors enjoyed better possession of the ball.
The game then sprung to life with three late goals within the space of five minutes.
Ben Hunt tapped in the first on 76 minutes, not long after coming on as a substitute, when visiting keeper Steve Williams could only parry Luke I'Anson’s shot.
Two minutes later Simmonds drove the ball across the face of goal and into the bottom corner to mark his debut with a goal.
But Maidenhead’s comeback started when Cliff Akurang pulled a goal back with nine minutes to go.
And then poor defending by Whites allowed Daniel Brown to score the equaliser with two minutes left.
In the only other Blue Square South game involving a Kent side, Bromley were trounced 7-0 at Weston-super-Mare.
They were three goals behind after a quarter of an hour through strikes from Jamie Price, Nat Pepperal and Martin Slocombe.
Weston did not score again until Ben Kirk was on target after 70 minutes, before they added three late goals by Martin Duharty (2) and Simon Gilbert.
