Dover were forced to settle for a point against St Albans in Blue Square South at Crabble on Saturday.
St Albans took the lead on the half hour mark when Shaun Welford was punished for a foul and Jonathan O'Donnell’s free-kick flew across the box, eluded the home defence and ended up in the bottom corner of the net.
Whites were quick to respond though and three minutes later Nicky Southall’s free-kick from the left was nodded into the net by Welford.
Dover had a penalty appeal turned down on the hour when Welford went down under a challenge but nothing was given.
Whites boss Andy Hessenthaler brought on Jerahl Hughes for Frannie Collin in an attempt to snatch the points but, although he caused problems, the honours were shared in the only non-league to be played in Kent.
