Dover booked their place in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round with a 3-1 victory over Cambridge City at Crabble on Saturday.
Adam Birchall (pictured) gave Dover a first half lead when he scored from the penalty spot after Jon Wallis had been fouled in the area.
Birchall then doubled Whites' advantage before the break when he scored on the turn after the ball had fallen to him as he inadvertently blocked a shot by Wallis.
The home side were good value for their lead at the break, and Birchall’s finishing was proving the difference between the sides.
It wasn’t long before Whites were three goals to the good when Elliott Charles played the ball to Wallis and his shot went into the net via the post.
The visitors pulled a goal back in the latter stages of the game from the penalty spot through Ryan Wade after Tom Wynter had committed a foul in the box.
