Billy Bricknell scored twice to give Nicky Forster (pictured) a winning start to life as Dover Athletic manager.
Whites cruised into the draw for the FA Cup third qualifying round courtesy of a strong second-half showing against a resilient Carshalton Athletic side at Crabble on Saturday afternoon.
The Ryman League, Premier Division, side held their own for long periods, but Bricknell opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time.
The visitors' keeper failed to hold a high ball under pressure from Donovan Simmonds, allowing Bricknell to lash in the loose ball.
Bricknell added his second when he slid in a cross from George Purcell with little over 20 minutes remaining and Sam Cutler then rammed in the third in the dying minutes after Purcell's fine break down the flank which ended with a low cross being parried by the keeper.
Olly Schulz came in from the cold and was brought off the bench for the last 15 minutes after being frozen out by former boss Martin Hayes.
Victory for Dover secured £4,500 of prizemoney and a place in the hat for Monday's draw at Wembley.
