Boss Andy Hessenthaler has called on Dover fans who have been absent recently to get behind the side as they push for a play-off place.

A crowd of 655 saw Dover lose 2-0 to Worcester City in Blue Square South on Tuesday night.

And Hessenthaler said: "We’ve gone from having 1,000 here to 650. Where have those 350 people gone?

"I know Arsenal were on the television on Tuesday and in the end I suppose they made the right decision.

"It’s frustrating though and I feel sorry for the chairman. It’s gone down to 600 and we are still where we said we would be which is chasing a play-off place and it’s still all to play for.

"We are going to need the crowd because that brings in the revenue and the budget in for players. We need everyone pulling together now."
