Dover boss Martin Hayes can understand why he has been named manager of the month but says he would have quite happily gone without the "false" accolade.
The historic FA Cup wins over Gillingham and Aldershot saw the Whites boss handed the Blue Square Bet South accolade, with striker Adam Birchall collecting the players’ award, but Hayes felt the award was false.
He said: "They said we had a good month but even though we beat Gillingham and Aldershot, we lost to Woking and Dartford. It is pretty much a consolation present as we did well in the cup but I don’t want us to be known as just a good cup side.
"It feels like a false pat on the back. I would much rather win the award for March or April because it would mean we are winning games at the business end of the season."
Sixth-placed Dover return to Blue Square Bet South action with a game against Maidenhead at home on Saturday before a trip to play-off chasing Havant on Monday night.
Hayes (pictured) said: "They will be totally different games. Saturday is a massive game and we have to take the three points. On Monday we will be under pressure. It will be a good test as far as I’m concerned, they (Havant) are a play-off team."
Elliot Charles could return from a hamstring injury against Maidenhead but keeper Ross Flitney is a doubt.
The former Arsenal and Barnet stopper has suffered a recurrence of the infection which threatened his involvement in the FA Cup clash with Gillingham and has seen him hospitalised twice within a month.
