Dover fans face a trip to Huddersfield in the next round of the FA Cup

Dover's hopes of a money-spinning FA Cup third round tie at a Premier League giant were dashed on Sunday night.

The draw paired them with a trip to League 1 high-flyers Huddersfield Town.

Whites had been hoping to land a plum tie against the likes of Manchester United or Arsenal after their heroic 2-0 defeat of Aldershot in the second round on Saturday.

It is the first time in the club's history that they have reached this stage of the FA Cup.

Elsewhere in the draw, Charlton were handed a trip to Tottenham if they can beat Luton in their replay.

Ties are due to be played on Saturday January 8.
