Dover manager Andy Hessenthaler already believes his side have nothing to fear after just four matches in the Blue Square South.

Monday night’s 1-1 draw at Chelmsford City extended Whites’ unbeaten start and Hessenthaler, pictured, said: “We are four games unbeaten despite playing in a higher level and from what I have seen so far, we have got nothing to fear.

“The pace of the game is a little bit quicker but I expected that, and although it won’t be so easy for us to win games like it has been for the past couple of seasons, the squad we have got now will make us competitive in this league.

“If we can keep our momentum going for the next half a dozen games, so that we are still up there after the opening 10 matches, then there’s every chance we will stay right up there challenging for the title.”

The Whites looked on course for another three points after Olly Schulz - in his first appearance of the season - headed home a first-half corner but Chelmsford equalised from Dave Rainford's penalty after Lee Hook was adjudged to have fouled Ricky Holmes.

This Saturday Dover are at home to Weston-super-Mare, who are in the bottom three after a 1-1 draw with Woking on Tuesday.

Striker Frannie Collin, who came on as a substitute at Chelmsford after missing two games with an ankle injury, should be in contention for a starting spot if he suffers no reaction.
