Dover boss Nicky Forster could bolster his midfield options by signing experienced Irishman George O’Callaghan.
The 33-year-old former Port Vale, Ipswich, Brighton, Tranmere, Yeovil and Cambridge United midfielder was due to play in last night’s (Wednesday) Kent Senior Cup tie at Herne Bay.
Whites’ press officer Steve Parmenter said: "Although George has signed registration forms with us, he hasn’t been offered a contract at this stage.
"Nicky has invited him along to help him regain full fitness and to give Nicky the chance to have a look at him."
Dover are back at Crabble on Saturday for a Kent derby against Tonbridge in the FA Cup second qualifying round.
Forster said: "The FA Cup is always special. It has been devalued by bigger sides but for us it still has that
charm.
"We want to try and go as far as we can and I’ll pick a team accordingly."
