The Dover Grammar School for Boys couldn't hold its full capacity of students this week due to a ruptured pipe leaking water all over the science department.
The school, based on Astor Avenue, only allowed certain year groups to attend, prioritising those who have exams to work towards.
The incident made it hard for teachers and students to access the internet, emails and also made the three-story science block an unsafe area.
Parents and guardians were updated with the situation on Thursday (January 9) where they were told only year's 10 upwards could come back into school.
The remaining years seven, eight and nine should be back to school Monday, depending on the update which is due to be posted on the school's website tomorrow.
Headmaster, Dr Richard Moxham said in a letter, published online:
"Although work has gone well these last four days, and our email and website are, as you will be aware, back in action, we are not quite able yet to switch electric power back on in the affected rooms and consequently to dehumidify them.
"Our hope is that everyone can be back in on Monday 13th.
"Because this is not yet a certainty, and may well be dependent upon continuing work over the weekend, we shall need to impose on your patience a little longer.
You will know the position re Monday, via messages on ParentMail and the website, by 2pm on Sunday at the very latest and possibly before then."
