Hannah Wain and Lee Shepherd with the trophy won by Dover Lifeguards at the Calais Festival of Sport
The youngsters of Dover Lifeguard Club dominated the gala at the annual Festival of Sport in Calais, winning by a comfortable margin.
There were first place finishes for Connie Willet in the fly and backstroke, Mollie Allen in the backstroke, Cameron Cook in the backstroke, Evan Waters in the breaststroke and fly, Megan Basford in the freestyle, backstroke and fly, Callum Basford in the freestyle, Callum Haywood in the freestyle and backstroke, Bradley Harvey in the fly, Hannah Wain in the breaststroke and freestyle, Devon Amos in the backstroke, Megan Curtis in the fly, Matt Farran in the backstroke, Tessa Dunford in the breaststroke and freestyle, Dima Miller in the breaststroke, Sophie Waller in the freestyle and fly, Kyle Kent in the fly, Edward Smith in the freestyle, Ebony Wright in the backstroke and Tasha Hyde in the breaststroke.
The team also put together some impressive relay swims, exemplified by the way they fought back from being behind in the final squadron relay to win by more than half a length.
The Dover water polo team beat Calais 8-1.
