Car left lying on side following crash on A258 London Road, Sholden, Deal

Traffic was last night being diverted after a crash in Sholden, Deal.

The incident happened on the A258 Deal to Sandwich road at about 8.30pm.

It involved two cars near to St Nicholas Church on London Road.

Kent Fire and Rescue attended the scene alongside police and ambulance services.

One person had to be cut out of their car after it was left on its side.

Motorists travelling on the Deal bound carriageway are being diverted along Mongeham Road, St Martin's Road and Rectory Road into Deal.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Police were called at 8.35pm on Thursday, July 30, 2020, to a report that a car had overturned in London Road, Deal.

"Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service and a man was treated at the scene."

South East Coast Ambulance Service have been approached for more information.
