Dover returned to form at Eastleigh thanks to goals from Barry Cogan and Adam Birchall.
A three-game losing streak for Whites left their play-off hopes in the balance but a 2-0 win at Eastleigh on Monday night has revived hope.
The win, earned with goals at either end of the match, leaves them trailing the play-off race by eight points.
Dover went ahead in the opening minutes when Luke I’Anson slid the ball through to Cogan and he rounded the keeper before netting the opener.
Birchall scored a second just after the half-hour mark, but his effort was ruled out for off-side, and it was Eastleigh who dominated large parts of the opening half.
Towards the end of the second half the game opened up, as Eastleigh looked to get back into the game, but it was Dover who struck again.
The second came in injury time, as Harry Baker’s shot was saved, but Birchall was quickest to react and he stabbed home.
