Southern Water says extra staff will be in place to deal with any flooding in Deal overnight.
This comes as the Met Office has forecast heavy rain across Kent tonight (Wednesday).
Albert Road in Deal has flooded notoriously bad during bouts of wet weather and has been a source of concern for many residents for some time.
Leilah Nicola, press spokesman for Southern Water said: "We will be monitoring matters closely and have extra staff in place - including at Golf Road treatment works and Albert Road, Deal - to respond where needed."
The Met Office this morning upgraded the severity of the warning from yellow - meaning be aware - to amber - be prepared.
People are warned to prepare for localised flooding, with some places expected to see 30mm of rainfall in the space of an hour and 50mm or more in two hours.
