Drivers are facing delays due to a road closure following a fire.

The A258 Broad Street, in Deal, is sealed off in both directions after a blaze broke out in the early hours.

The fire is believed to be in a building between High Street and Beach Street.

Emergency services are currently at the scene.

A police spokesman said: "We were called to a report of a fire at a property in Broad Street, Deal at around 4.45am on Wednesday, May 8.

"Officers are currently at the scene to assist Kent Fire and Rescue Service with a road closure."
