More than a dozen firefighters were sent a flat on fire that resulted in one person having to be treated for breathing in smoke.
Fire crews were called to St Leonards Road in Deal at 6.55pm today (Saturday).
Three fire engines responded to the blaze at the property which is in the same road as Deal Town Football Club.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus put out the flames.
A fire service spokesman said: “One person was passed into the care of SECAmb paramedics for suspected smoke inhalation.
“The cause of the fire is not yet known.”
Crews left at 7.33pm.
