Fire at a farm in Ringwould causing problems for traffic on the A258

Smoke billowing from a fire at a farm in Ringwould is causing problems with traffic on the A258.

It is believed the fire started at a cow farm in Kingsdown Road.

The smoke is blowing across the road at Rippledown and can be seen all the way from St Margaret's.

Firefighters are now in attendance.

John Sheridan of Deal and Dover Traffic Facebook page said: "Take with care at Ringwould, due to fire smoke is blowing across both lanes. May also be access problems into Kingsdown from A258 due to this."

Deal fire crews attended at 2.08pm to find that the smoke was coming from a controlled bonfire and their services were not needed.

It was classed as a false alarm and crews returned at 2.26pm.
