It is believed to have been started accidentally from a camp fire.
It happened on a field off Southwall Road, Deal, yesterday (Sunday).
Fire crews were called to the scene just after 1.20pm.
They used a main jet, a high pressure hose reel, short extension ladder and fire beaters to put out the flames, which devoured cut crop.
