Firefighters help flooded elderly disabled woman in Trinity Place, Deal

Firefighters helped remove flood water from an elderly disabled woman’s home in Deal last night.

One appliance attended Trinity Place at 7.13pm where there was flooding through the rear of a property.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said: “We had a number of flood calls yesterday. The main one for Deal was to Trinity Place.

“Firefighters used a Grindex pump to pump water from the home of an elderly, disabled woman.”

They left the scene just after 9pm.

Deal’s part-time firefighters were called out to Ripple at the same time.

They pumped away two feet of water from a home in Sunnyside Close, leaving at 8.15pm.
