Firefighters tackle large bonfire in Albert Road, Deal

Firefighters spent nearly three hours extinguishing a bonfire in Deal last night (Friday).

The blaze was spotted by resident Martin Tapsell of Albert Road where the fire started.

Two fire engines from Deal attended the large bonfire of cut tree logs that was alight near the old car lot at 11.27pm.

By 1.46am the fire had been extinguished but the crews remained until 2.10am to make sure the scene was safe.
