Fire crews were called to a flat in Grace Walk, Deal at around 5.15pm yesterday.

Two fire engines were sent and teams in breathing apparatus used a hose reel, positive pressure ventilation fan and a short extension ladder to tackle the fire.

There were no reports of any casualties and after extinguishing the blaze, crews left the scene at around 5.50pm.
