Firefighters have praised the actions of staff at a plastics factory after a blaze broke out at 6pm on Thursday.
About 20 employees were evacuated before two fire appliances from Eastry and Deal arrived, and efforts were made to safely tackle the flames which started in two small pallets of plastic granules.
Crew manager Paul Evans said: "We wouldn't advocate people attacking the fire but in this case they did everything right; the alarms went off, they evacuated everybody out and they managed to move the pallets with a forklift truck."
The operation was scaled down with the Eastry crew extinguishing the flames and ensuring there was no danger of re-ignition.
The factory is open and running normally.
