Flood warnings have been issued to communities along a stretch of the Kent coast.
Large and powerful waves are expected to thrash over sea defences at St Margaret's at Cliffe, Dover, Folkestone and Sandgate at noon when spring tides will be at their highest.
A statement from the Environment Agency said: "Flooding to roads and farmland is expected at this time, however conditions may apply two to four hours either side of the high tide.
"Coastal conditions are expected to continue until after the high tides at 1.39pm on Friday, March 13 at Dover.
"We are closely monitoring the situation.
"Please avoid using low lying footpaths and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near areas that may be flooded."
A further update is expected at 4pm today.
