Dover play Ryman League, Premier Division side Margate in their final pre-season friendly at Crabble on Saturday (3pm), with free entry for all fans.

Boss Nicky Forster is hoping striker Terry Dixon (pictured) will play some part after a stomach muscle injury.

He said: "It’s vitally important we put on a good performance in our last friendly.

"I couldn’t say whoever plays will start the first league game but we will have a strong side out."

Forster played a game on loan for Margate when he was a young striker making his way at Gillingham.

He said: "I’d forgotten all about that! It was at Newport Isle of Wight and I touched the ball once, lobbing the keeper for the only goal of the game in the first minute."
