Six friends from Deal have teamed up to take on a midnight marathon to raise cash for breast cancer charities.
Kerry Rubins, Nin Handley, Jo Allen, Kelly Elderton, Kiki Cory and Emma Flower will participate in the Moonwalk in London on Saturday night.
The 26.2-mile hike is organised by Walk the Walk – the largest grant-making breast cancer charity in the UK.
They will split the funds raised between a host of charities and organisations to help them reach their goals and ambitions, including Breast Cancer Now.
Miss Rubins, a voluntary ambassador for the charity, said: “I was invited by Breast Cancer Now to be on the official Team Now to represent them. I was fortunate enough to be able to offer some places to my friends in Deal.”
The women have been training since January and completed 22 miles together on Thursday last week.
For the real event, the women will wear decorated pink bras.
They will start the challenge at Clapham Common. Ms Elderton said: “I’ve never done anything like this before. This year I’ve been motivated and inspired by my husband, who has gone from no exercise to running a marathon for charity in a year.
“I felt like this was something I wanted to do myself. There are many amazing charities, but after watching my lovely friend Kerry strive to raise funds for breast cancer, I chose Walk the Walk.
“I’m proud to be doing it with a bunch of great ladies and to be on the official Team Now.”

For Ms Allen, the challenge has been on her bucket list. She says she is happy to be doing it for such an amazing cause.
Miss Rubins said: “I’m so proud of all the girls, but especially Emma Flower, who has only been out of hospital for three weeks and has shown real determination to still do it.”
