Two friends are hoping to fill a gap left by the closure of Mill Hill Butchers with the opening of their sandwich shop and salad bar, today.
Brunch Box, opposite the entrance to Cowdray Square, is a new venture for Emma Mcintyre and Sarah Marriott from Deal.
The pals who together have more than 30 years experience in the care industry decided during a dog walk that they would try their hand at something new.
With a shared love of food and a sense that the area was lacking a convenient lunch spot, they located a building and mastered a business plan.
Having spent three months renovating the property - formerly a reclaimed furniture workshop - they're now offering an assortment of fresh food to go.
Mrs Mcintyre, 39, said: "We just thought with the closure of the butchers in Mill Hill, there was no where really for people to go to get fresh baguettes.
"Plus we both love cooking and enjoy cooking at home.
"Hopefully people will pop by and give us try us."
The menu features rolls and baguettes with a variety of fresh fillings as well as jacket potatoes, salad boxes and daily specials.
Mrs Mcintyre, a vegetarian herself, is keen to include non-meat options like vegetable pasta, avocado and eggs plus a home-made vegan burger.

Other unique options include their weekend barbecue boxes, with a mix of couscous, coleslaw and potato salad.
Mrs Marriott, 37, said: "We're also offering hot food to go in the morning like sausages, egg and bacon.
"We plan to explore different dietary requirements in time and also start a delivery service."
Brunch Box is open 7am until 3.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am until noon on Saturday.
