The Lane and The Astor Theatre in Deal have hooked up to host a free networking event.
The two Deal businesses lead by example as they have already formed a successful business relationship.
The event on Monday, March 16, at The Lane in South Court at 7pm, is an opportunity for them to help other professionals do the same.
Co-owner of The Lane Anna Murray said: “It’s a chance to share what you do and love as well as meet your neighbours. We’re all in it together.”
The night is also a chance for businesses to talk about what’s going on in the town and see how they can work together.
Mr Burt said: “The idea is to bring yourselves and your business cards, get chatting and have a few drinks if you want to. The bar will be open.”
The cocktail establishment will be closed to members of the public and each person through the door will receive a free glass of bubbly.
Miss Murray said: “I used to be in sales and marketing and I attended networking events all the time. I thought they were really useful and I’m really surprised Deal hasn’t already established anything like this.”
For the past three months, The Lane has been hosting monthly cocktails nights at the Astor.
Miss Murray takes her staff and cocktail making equipment over to the theatre, and Mr Burt and his team provide jazz music.
If successful, the networking event will become a monthly occurrence. The business duo are open to the idea of holding breakfast meetings for those who can't make the evenings.
Miss Murray has asked people to let her know if they are attending. Call 01304 448283 or email info@thelanedeal.co.uk
The next cocktail night at The Astor will be on Thursday, March 12 from 7pm until late.
