A religious procession which has been held on Good Friday in Dover for more than 20 years has had to be changed this year so that a Disney film can be shown on the town's Big Screen.
Traditionally, the Procession of Witness, organised by Christians Together in Dover, starts from outside the Town Council offices at 10am and makes its way to the Market Square, stopping at various points along the way to remember the events leading up to Christ’s crucifixion.
From the Market Square, the procession usually went to the Albany Place car park and three crosses were carried up onto the Western Heights where they are planted overlooking the town.
But this year the first of the three Toy Story films is due to be shown on the Big Screen at 11am on Good Friday, clashing with the time the church group would be there.
As a result, the procession has been changed so that it starts from the Market Square at 10am, leaving time for people to gather to watch the film.
The procession will then make its way up Cannon Street and Biggin Street to the War Memorial area.
Those taking part will have to retrace their steps to Worthington Street, up to York Street, and then cross the dual carriageway to go to Albany Place and the Western Heights.
