A new series of lectures organised by the Deal With It environmental group starts at Deal Town Hall this week.

The first guest will be the Green Party's South East Euro MP Caroline Lucas, whose talk Costing the Earth? will be presented on Friday, February 13.

Caro Wilkinson, from Deal With It, said: “Our guest is a distinguished speaker on environmental issues.

“There will also be a supporting speaker Sean Furey, who is assistant director of Campaign to Protect Rural England.

“The doors will open at 6pm for refreshments and the talks will begin at 6.30pm, with Dr Lucas speaking at 7pm.

“Entrance is free, but with limited space in the town hall tickets must be reserved in advance. “
