'Hand of God' appears in cloud formation over Deal

A bizarre cloud formation over Kent appears to show a curled-up hand coming down from the clouds.

The funnel cloud-style cloud was captured by David Christie over Deal.

But instead of the usual funnel cloud making a spiral nearly reaching the ground, the video here shows what appears to be an image of a hand unfurling and apparently beckoning.

Those viewing the video on Facebook even suggested it looked like the hand of God.

It then disappears into thin air, losing its hand-like appearance.

It was one of a number of weird formations in the sky today. The pictures below show similar funnel clouds in Westbrook and St Margaret-at-Cliffe.
