Dover suffered their first Blue Square South defeat of the season and were knocked off the top of the table following a 2-1 defeat at Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday.
Two Manny Williams goals condemned the Whites to defeat in a game that also saw their manager Andy Hessenthaler sent off in the first half.
The home side were awarded a penalty after only four minutes when Olly Schulz handled the ball in the box while trying to clear it.
Whites keeper Lee Hook saved Williams’ spot-kick but the Blue Square player-of-the-month was able to score from the rebound.
Schulz then brought down Wes Fogden in the penalty area and Williams was this time successful from the spot after 39 minutes.
A minute later Whites problems mounted when Hessenthaler was sent from the dug out by the referee for something he said.
Schulz had a header hit the bar as Whites tried to get back into the game after half-time, before substitute Adam Birchall (pictured) drove an unstoppable shot into the net on 66 minutes.
Whites staged a late rally in an attempt to snatch a point, but the home side were able to keep them at bay.
