Furry Star Wars favourite Chewbacca made a festive visit to Sandwich this afternoon.
The 7ft 2in Wookiee took a stroll around the medieval town from his base at Highway Marine in Strand Street.
It was in support of the RNLI at the bequest of friend Peter Cusick who said: "It's all in the festive spirit and is a thank you to the lifeboat people for all the good work they do."

Chewy, operated by a Thanet man who wants to remain anonymous, started his collections at 1.30pm today.
And measuring in at 7ft 2in, he towered over the shoppers and residents he met and posed with people around Strand Street and The Quay.
Sally Wilson, who posed for a snap with the character, said: "We thought 'My gosh, what is that?'"
Penny Barber added: "We weren't sure what we were focussing on!"
He is an professional Chewbacca recognised by The UK Garrison costuming troupe of which he is one of just three.
He attends events and specialist Star Wars gatherings.
Highway Marine director James Blackmore said: "This is Sandwich and it's always a bit random!
"The RNLI is our chosen charity and we'd like other people to support them."
Donations can be dropped into the Strand Street shop or made online.
Mr Cusick added: "People don't realise the quality of his costumes.
"They cost thousands and thousands.
"He wears stilts and you wouldn't believe it when you see him walking about. It's astounding when you see it."
