A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault on Deal beach.

It happened last Thursday evening and on Friday forensics teams cordoned off a section close to Deal pier while an investigation was launched.

One eyewitness who drove past said the officers were at the scene for about an hour.

A police spokesman said: "He has been bailed until Monday, December 14 while police continue their investigations."
