Kent is certainly having a lucky month when it comes to the lottery, after three residents became millionaires overnight.
A trio of mystery winners known as Mr G, Mrs D and Mr H hit the jackpot and bagged a share of £3 million in National Lottery prizes in just two weeks. It follows the news that residents in two county postcodes scooped thousands, and some hundreds of thousands, in the People’s Postcode Lottery.
Mr G got £1 million on October 10 after playing a lucky dip. Following his win he plans on splashing the cash on a new home, car and a holiday.
Mrs D also bagged £1 million the following day after matching five main numbers and the bonus ball in the Lotto draw.
Then, Mr H matched five main numbers and the bonus ball in the lotto draw on October 21. He now plans on investing his winnings for the future.
The lotto winners are part of over eight million players that win each week on The National Lottery games.
National Lottery Advisor Andy Carter told the Sun: “What incredible news for these three winners who have each won fantastic prizes, becoming millionaires overnight.
"Kent is proving to be a very lucky area for our players!”
October continued to be a flush month for residents in Kent, as last week more than 1,400 neighbours in Deal collected their share of an £11.2 million jackpot after winning the People’s Postcode Lottery.
Residents living in the CT14 9 postcode eagerly arrived at Walmer Green to receive their golden envelopes to find out how much they had won.
Another postcode, in Gillingham, also won big last week, as residents split £1m, again in the People’s Postcode Lottery.
